Committees and Descriptions

Every AMBUC partiicipates and serves on ONE committee of his/her choice. In addition, they help on the fundraising projects of the chapter. 


Please indicate your First, Second Choice or Third Choice  for three (3) different committees you would like to serve on.

Allocations  

This committee takes responsibility for reviewing and approving sponsorship requests for assistance, medical travel, and other requests that may be submitted. Meetings are generally held prior to board meetings as needed.

Ambility

This committee is responsible for reviewing and approving requests for Amtrykes. Assisting in assembly, presentations, and adjustments may be needed from time to time. Works with the therapists and demo sites as needed.

Scholarship

The Scholarship Committee supports future professionals in therapy fields by oordinating both local and national AMBUCS cholarships. Our goal is to invest in students who will help others gain mobility and independence.

Attendance & Reception/Hospitality  

This committee is responsible for helping members feel welcome and creating a fun, relaxed environment. Calls upon members to make sure that major events in a member's life are recognized by the chapter (weddings, babies, deaths, hospital stays, etc.)

Community Service  

Plans activities that involve our members in worthy community service to our local community.

Fundraising  

Plans activities that help raise funds for the general operation and specific projects.

Orientation & Retention  

This committee ensures that current members are encouraged to expand our local chapter with new members. Plans Fall Branding and assist Big Hat with Spring Roundup recruitment events. Plan membership orientation for members to learn about our organization.

Program (Weekly Meetings)  

This committee plans informative, fun, and interesting programs for our weekly meetings. Committee members, generally rotate responsibility for programs for the month.

Public Relations  

This committee is responsible for the chapter's newsletter, alerting press, radio, TV and Social Media about chapter events and communication. Send to AMBUCS Resource Center publicity and pictures for AMBUCS magazine.

Sergeant at Arms  

In charge of tail twisting and helping welcome attendees. 

CHAIR:  Tonya Lawson


Social  

This committee is responsible for planning and holding socials throughout the year. We hold at least four club socials each year.
